We are a nonprofit organization, not a school-sponsored club or sports program. Therefore, we rely on registration fees, donations, sponsorships and other support to provide a safe, inclusive and one-of-a-kind experience for your girl. The registration cost varies by council, and financial assistance is available.

How long are Girls on the Run practices?

In person practices are 90 minutes, and virtual practices are approximately 45 minutes of online engagement, discussion, and activities plus 20-30 of independent activities during which time girls use the journal to do reflection and complete the workout that they start during the online lesson.

At the end of each three-month session, the girls participate in a Girls on the Run 5k event, which involves other Girls on the Run teams from the community and possibly other councils. This celebratory, non-competitive event is the culminating experience of the curriculum. Coaches, parents, and community members participate, cheer, and celebrate.
