Is the Wolverine extended cut better?

There is a lot to like about the extended cut of The Wolverine, and in many ways it’s an improvement over the version of the film that was released theatrically, but one way in which the film remains disappointingly the same is in the very end of the film.

Is there an R rated version of the Wolverine?

Yes, Logan is an comic-book movie, but it’s no shiny, whiz-bang action film. Hugh Jackman’s final Wolverine outing rightfully (and thankfully, in our opinion) earns the first R-rating of the franchise. It’s a movie for adults and MPAA isn’t misleading you.

I’d say it’s worth a rent, if that’s a possibility. It doesn’t change the story and the Rogue part only lasts a couple of minutes. The other “17 minutes of extra footage” are deleted and extended scenes. Having watched it, I’d say I still prefer the original cut.

Though he’s been packaged into PG-13 movies ever since Bryan Singer’s X-Men in 2000, the truth is that Wolverine is really at his best in an uncensored environment. After all, he is the best at what he does, but what he does isn’t very nice.
